The Fashion Look of the Football
Wednesday, 28 October 2009
Fashion today is not only part of our way of dressing, fashion is much more. We find the fashion trends in every area of our lives: in our homes and its interior decoration, in the new cars models, even in the new trends in express ourselves. Football no exception.
The official uniforms of some European football clubs are created by world's famous designers. The most awarded italian football teams, Juventus F.C. and A.C. Milan, also choose to wear the collections, exclusively made for the clubs, by Dsquared2 and Dolce&Gabbana. Two great football teams and two great fashion houses: undoubtedly a recipe for success.
The "marriage" between the "Old lady" and the Canadian designers Dean and Dan Caten finally joined fashion and football. For fourth consecutive year the twins from Willowdale Ontario drawing the collections exclusively dedicated to the club from Turin.
Another italian football club, A.C. Milan, and the most famous duo in the fashion world, Dolce&Gabbana, have been in collaboration since 2004. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have become one of the major sponsors of the team.
Inspiration source
A significant prove that fashion and football go hand in hand is the fact that many designers were inspired by the players and their way of being. At the fashion shows, from New York to Paris, football "icons" are always part of the special guests and often they become models for some famous fashion creators. Advertising campaigns often are using details and elements of football's world. In almost every men's collection Dolce&Gabbana dedicate a part to the football or another sport.
Dirk Bikkembergs is the designer par excellence who completely revalued football, fashion, and the relationship between them. His collections were entirely inspired by the world of football. The Belgian designer is the first one who transformed football stadium into a catwalk. In its advertising campaigns Bikkembergs usually works with models who actually are more or less famous football players.
Today more that ever, fashion and football are one, they inspire each other and together determine the trends in men's fashion.
