To commemorate Jean Michel Basquiat’s 50th birthday, the largest and most comprehensive retrospective of his work ever held in Europe is exhibited in the Beyeler Foundation, in Basel (Switzerland). The exhibition opened on 9 May and will close on 5 September 2010, when it will move to Paris.

The first thing you notice with surprise when you enter the Rolex Learning Centre (let’s ignore the easiness with which one gets lost in the underground parking lot) is the existence of an undulating floor that gently separates the different locations.
